Athletics Day
Hey bloggers! Today I am blogging on Athletics day. At school on Friday 2nd of November, the whole school joined in with Athletics Day. It took a lot of planning by our teacher Ms Sands, to make sure that everyone had the chance to do each event. My favourite events were high jump and sprints. There were about 12 events.
I came a place in everything except long jump. We were put into groups based on your age before the 1st of October. 11 and 10 year old girls were put together. We started at 9:00 am. Everyone helped set up before school and some people helped before and after the bell rang at 3 pm to pack up.
After all the events was main event of the day. The biggest event of them all...
'The House Relays'
There are 4 house groups, Pukeko, Tui, Ruru and Kea. Pukeko is green, Tui is yellow, Ruru is blue and Kea is red. I am in Tui. The House Relay is the best event. Everyone in the school gets to participate in one event, at once. Each team cheers and enjoys themselves. We do this because it is part of our curriculum, all the children at school, have to do exercise.
Here is some of the photos of the day!
I hope you enjoyed looking at the photos. Please feel free to comment or leave some feedback for me. I really enjoyed this year's Athletics. I hope you enjoy your school Athletics day. I can't wait to see some of your blogs and work.
