Rocket Launch

On the 28th May the Rocket Lab launched their first rocket. For our reading crossover Philippa Werry did research on the rocket. Ms Sands asked us to create an infographic. An infographic is like a poster with a little more info.Here is my Findings on an infographic:)

Caesar the Anzac dog

Caesar was a good book to read. It was challenging to write about Philippa Werry's blog because it was hard to understand. HERE'S MY WORK!!!

Caesar the Anzac dog is an awesome dog. In war he may have died along with many others, but he shall R.I.P (Rest in Peace) with many other soldiers that have died with him. We all thank you Caesar for what you've done for us and all the other dogs who died for us!

Describe using our senses

In class we were asked to describe war using our senses, here is my work!

	So many soldiers were around in trenches.The trenches are disgusting, so many rats scattered around looking for food.
	Boom!!! The booms went and the soldiers were talking about the next attack. Soldiers snored when they went fast asleep. Soldiers pain or sickness screams when they were trying to get the sickness out of them. Rats nibbling at their food as eating.
	The food go down my throat as I ate and my saliva slip down my throat as the time moves closer and closer til it’s time to go to war.
	Dirty clothes not washed for about 3 weeks or so. Wasted food on the ground after eating. Smoke from bombs. I wish I was at home with a beautiful smell. Smells as if I was at an animal's dead body rotting
	Flees creeping on my body underneath my clothes. Water soaking my shoes and socks. Mud on my bottom as I sit and write my letter.
	Scared, afraid and a little proud of myself because I’m doing the right thing to protect my people I love. It was a honour to have an opportunity to help my people of my island.
	Think this is a little scary and why do we have to have a war, can’t we just talk about things and settle it without fighting and have a big war?

Writing this was so... hard. What I wrote was hard to imagine because we have not got any experience about World War 1 or 2.

My Fatu Fe'u Inspiration

Hi peeps!!! Here I am posting some more of my FAB work! Please see my art work I've done with Room 9. It's not here but I've linked it to this post, so click it and you'll be able to see it. It was inspired by Fatu Fe'u, an artist of the Pacific. Instead of just doing Pacific we did a mix of NZ and the Pacific. I hope you like it. 

I spent a long time on it. It was hard because I did some hard painting designs. I think next time I should do smaller designs. Please feel free to COMMENT!

The Tooth

The Tooth

During reading this term Room 9 has been reading a book written by Des Hunt. Timothy Thomas and Micheal his best friend discover something wonderful. I liked the book because there's a lot of detail and adventure in it. The book is about Timothy and Micheal finding a fossil that is special to his family.  In this slideshow Room 9 had to do links with photos and we did a character study of our favourite character, have a look at what I've done!!!

Anzac Day

Room 9 did some writing about Anzac. We did this so we can remember this day, when the soldiers died for us. They died for us so we can be free:)

It was easy writing because I remember everything on Anzac day because it's a day to remember.
