Mighty Mangroves (SLJ)

Hey bloggers!!! Today I am blogging on Mighty Mangroves for... can you guess??? Summer Learning Journey. We have to blog on someone that is tough or strong to you. There are many people for me, like my mum and dad.
But for this one, I am blogging on my mum.I am blogging on her because she has very strong, because she gave birth to 4 lovely children. Me being one of them, also my 2 brothers and 1 sister.
She can be Superman, Batman and Wonder-woman put together for me. She may not have powers like Superman but she has secret powers. That she uses like she does so many jobs at work and she helps at home with my dad.
She also does so many other things, like correct me and my siblings. But she does it in a very nice way.
Here are some other people I would write about if I could,

  1. My dad
  2. Aunty Michelle
  3. My cousin Michelle
  4. My cousin Keith
  5. My cousin Eliza
  6. My cousin Moronai

Here is a quick pic of a Mangrove tree, and some facts!!!

Mangroves,
  • They grow in shallow water, (Harbours)
  • They can be located in Auckland, New Zealand (Northland)
  • They are one of the toughest and strongest trees
  • They can survive in very harsh and difficult situations
And more but I can only write about 1. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. Please feel free to leave comment or some feedback for me.

I can't wait to see some of your work and blogs. Here is a quick pic of a Mangrove tree

  1. Hi Lavinia,

It's Leslie here, writing to you as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I live in Canada which is on the other side of the world and so, while you're having your summer holiday I'm enjoying winter time. Isn't that hard to imagine?

You've given a lovely testimony to your mom, saying that she's a kind of super-hero to you. That's wonderful!! She sounds like a very special person with lots of abilities and a kind way.

And it's wonderful that you have other people in your life that are also very strong, in your mind. You gave a great list of them - that's very impressive. I'm sure that they would be flattered to know that you think so highly of them!

I'm very glad that you've chosen to participate in the Summer Learning Journey program this summer. I hope you'll enjoy all of the activities and I'll enjoy reading your blog!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
