Night Owls (SLJ)

Are You Are Night-Owl Or and Early Riser?!
Hey bloggers!! Today I am blogging on Night Owls for the Summer Learning Journey. We have to describe whether we are early risers or Night Owls. After we describe ourselves, we have to describe our family and whether they are the same or different.
A night owl is someone who stays up late and an Early riser is someone who gets up early. I am technically both but on the weekends and holidays, I am a night owl, but I don't wake u7p early I sleep in.
Now for my family, they are the same. No joke, but sometimes they either get up to watch T.V but that is for my siblings and sometimes my dad. Or my dad and older brother get up and play PS3 or my dad gets up and goes to the gym. (But, I am the person to wake up the latest out of my family.)
I hope you enjoyed finding out about me and my family and whether we are early risers or night owls. Please feel free to leave comment or some feedback for me. And tell me whether you are an Early Riser or Night-Owl!!!
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! See Ya Bloggers!!!

The Great Taupo Cycle Challenge (SLJ)

Who's Going To Be My Support Team???
Hey Bloggers!!! Today I am blogging on The Great Taupo Cycle Challenge for the Summer Learning Journey! (SLJ) We have to pick 3 people that would be on our Support team, and why.
My 3 would have to be my Dad, Ms Sands my Year 5 and 6 teacher and Mr Ross, my motivator and Netball Coach.
They have all been there for me. There are others, but these are the 3 I would choose overall.

Why...
Let's start with my dad, I want my dad because he will always push you til the end. Also because he will make you fit and stronger than ever before.

Ms Sands, I want her because she will keep me fit with my dad and Mr Ross. Also because she will teach me how to keep my legs pumping and she will help me not get tired while riding.

Mr Ross, I want him because he is very hard on you like my dad, if you did a bad pass in Netball or did a mistake. He would make you sprint across the court, if you did multiple times. He would make you run the field.

I want all of them because they all WILL MOTIVATE ME!!!

That is why I want them as my Support Team.

I hope you liked my blog post. Please feel free to leave a comment or some feedback for me. If you would like to see more of my work, please feel free to stay in touch with my blog.

Maori Facts (SLJ)

Hey bloggers! Today is day 1 of the Summer Learning Journey. I am doing the very first activity. It is called "A Place To Stand." We have to go on to this link NZ Fun Facts and add your favourite 3 facts.
At the start of the activity, there is a little blurb about Maui and New Zealand. This is the little blurb:
According to Māori mythology, much of Aotearoa New Zealand was formed when Māui, a powerful demigod, fished it out of the sea. Legend has it that Māui created a magical fish hook from the jawbone of his grandmother and that one day he took his hook, boarded a boat, and rode out into the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Once at sea, he threw his magical hook into the water and caught a fish. This ‘fish’ was actually the North Island of New Zealand! In honour of this legend, the North Island of New Zealand is sometimes referred to as Te Ika a Māui or ‘Māui’s fish’ and the South Island of New Zealand is sometimes referred to as Te Waka a Māui or ‘Māui’s canoe’.

My favourite 3 facts were,

1. The Maori name of New Zealand is Aotearoa which means the land of the long white cloud.

2. New Zealand was once governed as part of the territory of New South Wales and later a part of Australia.

3. It is one of the three countries in the world that has two official national anthems of equal standing.  The first is God Save the Queen and the other is God Defend New Zealand.

These facts are all about NZ, they all tell us about New Zealand like the first one. It tells us about what Aotearoa means.
The second one tells us about where New Zealand was onced governed.
Governed means to conduct the policy, actions, and affairs of (a state, organization, or people) with authority.
The third one, the last one. Is talking about the National Anthem, that NZ is one of the official countries with an anthem that is equal standing.

I really enjoyed doing this activity. Can't wait to do more. Please feel free to leave comment or some feedback for me. I can't wait to see some of your work.

"Santa Claus Is Coming To Town"

Christmas Is Near

Hola Bloggers! Today I am blogging on Christmas Dress Up. At Waikowhai Primary, we did a dress up. We dressed in mufti to raise for Christmas Hampers. We do Hampers every year, once we finish. We give it to families that need help.
We had it on Friday the 7th December 2018.
I really enjoyed being a face painter with my friends, dressing up, doing Jump Jam and Raising money for families. What I didn't like was the heat and mucking up face paint. It was #SoAnnoying.
Here are some photos of the day!

Gymnastics

Gymnastics
Talofa Bloggers! Today I am blogging on Gymnastics. For past few weeks we have been doing Gymnastics. We had some sessions at school and we had 2 at Tri Star. Our instructor was Coach Mo. I really enjoyed it because we learnt new things.

I went down with my class and another class. There was a lot of equipment. There were beams, mats, poles, tramps and more.  When I walked I started to freak out, I was excited but scared at the same time. I was scared, well nervous because I have never done proper gymnastics before.

What I didn't like though was  that I hurt nearly every muscle in my body. But the instructors say "It means that you have worked very hard!" Well, they are still sore, but I am happy that I worked hard. I really enjoyed it, I hope others did too. I also enjoyed watching an olympian train!!!!
Here are some photos of the day!

I hope you enjoyed looking at the photos. Please feel free to leave a comment or some feedback for me. I can't wait to see some of your blog.

My Last Year

Hola Bloggers!!! Today I am blogging on my last year at Waikowhai Primary School. Leaving is not one of the things I would wish for. My years at Primary have been unbelievable, there has been many memories at Waikowhai. My favourite memories would have to be Mt Ruapehu Camp, Tiritiri Matangi,  Production and another one that is an upcoming event, Rangitoto.
Leaving is the worst thing I would have wished for, this school matters a lot to me. I will never replace it with the world. I am sad but excited to leave. I am excited to go to Waikowhai Intermediate though. Waikowhai Intermediate is such a fun school, there are cool teachers and fun trips like camp.
Here are some photos of my life here!
